This past weekend, we celebrated Little A’s 5th birthday with a Rapunzel Party for all her friends.  It was seriously so much fun.

I LOVE planning parties, especially when I have a great theme!  Little A really wanted Rapunzel to come, so away we went to the Kingdom of Corona.

(If you want to see all our DIY for the party and how we saved a TON of money on decorations, see this post here!)

The party was at 2pm, so I didn’t feel the need to make a ton of food.  But I still wanted to have snacks out because 5 year olds get crazy when they’re hungry!!  We did “Pascal’s Puffs & Pretzels”, “Max’s Applesauce”, “Flynn’s Jello Boats” and of course some fruit!

My favorite part of the Snuggly Duckling table was the cake! It was not only beautiful but tasty too!  Nimmi at 3PixiesBake in Fullerton knocked it out of the park.  If you are in the Orange County area and are looking for a beautiful but completely affordable option for incredible cakes, cupcakes and cookies, then you MUST look her up!

The little girls arrived and we immediately went outside to make our own princess crowns.  I bought foam tiaras and jewel stickers from Amazon and it was a HUGE hit.  The girls were so busy making their tiaras, we almost forgot to play our game!

We played “Tangled” which was totally hilarious.  We divided the girls into teams and then they had 2 minutes to tangle 1 person with as much yellow crepe paper as they could.  It got really wild and we had to keep reminding the girls not to wrap around the throat (eek!!) but it was a ton of fun!  They kept finding unused rolls of crepe paper throughout the rest of the party and wrapping each other up.

But the best part of the day was when our guest of honor arrived!  Have you ever hired a princess?  Let me tell you, the 1st time is a little nerve-racking.  Last year I poured over reviews, combed through websites and basically stressed out about the whole thing.  I mean, we go to Disneyland all the time!  What if the princess comes and she is less than spectacular???  I finally decided on Party Princess Productions and I am so happy I did!  We have used them twice now and both times have been amazing and very affordable!

Rapunzel came in and had interactive storytime with the girls (which totally included signing several songs – awesome!!) and then she took the girls outside for some face painting.  I don’t know about your almost 5 year old, but mine thinks face painting is one of the most exciting things ever!  Rapunzel even gave them princess posing lessons and had all the girls pose for pictures with their newfound skills!  She then sang a special birthday song to Little A.  It really was magical to watch the girls interact with her.  I loved every second!

We got Little A a new carry-on for her present this year.  She has definitely outgrown the little hippo one she has had since she was 1 and with over 50 flights under her belt, that thing has seen better days.  We got her the Skip-Hop Unicorn Suitcase It’s the perfect size for her and oh so cute!  It definitely fits under an airplane seat, but is big enough to hold toys, coloring books and games.  I can’t wait for her to use it next month!

All in all it was a fantastic day!  I LOVE celebrating my girl and creating these memories.  I worked hard on this party and I am not going to lie, I was TIRED! But, her smiling face made it all worth while!  I love you sweet baby girl!!
