It’s time for Five for Friday!

*This week on Instagram, I highlighted one of our favorite charities for #givingtuesday.  Caterina’s Club is a local Orange County charity that does some amazing work for Anaheim and all of Orange County.  They serve over 17,900 warm nutritional meals to underprivileged children each week as well as help families get into stable housing and job training for Orange County youths.  The charity was started by Chef Bruno of Anaheim White House fame and is such an amazing organization.  We like to donate pasta and sauce, but you can also provide a monetary donation here.  If you are looking for a giving opportunity, please check them out.

*Disney on Ice Dare to Dream is coming to LA and Orange County in the next few weeks!  We are so excited to be taking Little A for the 1st time (and I’ll admit, I’m more than a little excited myself!)  The show schedule is:
Staples Center, Los Angeles December 13th – 16th
Honda Center, Anaheim December 19th – 23rd
Citizen’s Business Bank Arena, Ontario December 26th – 30th
Long Beach Arena, Long Beach January 3rd – 6th
We LOVE giving experiences as gifts and this is a great option.  The best part is as part of Cyber Week, they are currently offering 35% off tickets to all shows.  Buy tickets here and enter code CW2018.  Code is valid through the weekend so hurry!

*Headed to Disneyland on Saturday to eat all the things and honestly, I’m a little nervous!  We haven’t been on a Saturday in AGES!  We are so used to short wait times (if any) and fewer crowds, I’m not sure if we’ll be able to handle it haha.  We ARE going to take Little A on Guardians of the Galaxy for the 1st time!  She’s over the moon excited about it. We’ll see how she feels AFTER she goes on it haha. Here’s hoping she can hang!

*Our city’s police department does a holiday toy drive every year and this week, I took Little A to Target to pick out some toys to deliver.  It’s very sweet to watch her scrutinize each possible gift.  It’s a good reminder that part of the magic of the holiday season is teaching her that is better to give than to receive.  I hope she grows up with a heart for giving and helping people less fortunate than her.  I know it’s my responsibility to nurture that in her.

*Which brings me to my last point. This line from Dr. Seuss is timeless. I know we can all get caught up in the Black Friday, Cyber Monday shopping season.  But let’s not forget that the true joy of Christmas comes from spending time with the ones you love and having a spirit of giving.

Have a magical weekend, everyone!!
